Each year, more than two million Americans are the victims of physical attack in the workplace and many more are threatened or harassed. While violent acts by disgruntled employees may appear to come out of nowhere, there are frequently signs of potentially violent behavior that can be addressed before a situation escalates. In this program, you’ll learn about the following topics:
• The myths versus realities of violence at work
• How to recognize early warning signs of a potentially violent person or situation
• How to record and document incidents indicative of potential violence
• Encouraging employees to report suspicious incidents properly
• Developing and implementing a clear policy against violence

Building effective, cohesive teams has never played as pivotal a role in a company’s success as it does today.  Cohesive teams achieve measurably greater results, have a higher levels of engagement and lower turnover…they are the dream of every HR manager.  In this program we’ll review the six critical factors teams need to perform at their highest level and discuss how to improve team cohesion by raising awareness around personal styles and the influence of behavior on group dynamics.  Key areas for focus are communication, conflict resolution, influencing, understanding individual styles and work-related differences.

This program has been approved for 1.0 (General ) recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.
