Conflict! Whether you are embroiled in it or helping others sort themselves out, conflict is a natural part of work life whenever more than one person is in a room. Human resource professionals are often called upon to act as mediators, facilitators and internal coaches to resolve conflict. This program is specifically designed to help HR professionals:
- Understand, and help others understand, the sources of conflict and the cost of leaving it unresolved
- Clarify their own approach to (or retreat from!) conflict
- Resolve conflict using controlled disagreement and help use conflict to one’s advantage
- Use different techniques to resolve any conflict
- between others
- between yourself and another
- between departments
- among team members
- Practice conflict resolution skills through role play and group critique
